For Tricia, ceramics was a natural destination; following many years exploring oil and watercolor painting, Tricia continues to incorporate drawing into her experiences in this medium. Tricia studied painting and art education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Searching for art experiences to supplement her everyday life the opportunity was presented to work with clay beginning with wheel throwing. As her skills with the medium developed, she found paths which lead to her trying new techniques such as hand building and crystalline glazes, as well as pit, wood, and raku firing. Tricia works in stoneware and porcelain.

While exploring ceramics, Tricia has worked with many of her peers to build her skills as an artist and designer furthering her voice in technique and style. Tricia has exhibited her work at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s Open Doors, Art in the Garden in Meredith, NH, and the Community Clay Center in Plymouth, NH. Tricia’s work has also been exhibited in the New Hampshire Potters’ Guild Biennial Show entitled Sublime Mud at Discover Portsmouth, Portsmouth, NH.

Tricia is a member of the New Hampshire Potters’ Guild and works from her home studio in Belmont, NH and at the Community Clay Center in Plymouth, NH. She continues to be interested in working with other ceramic artists to share ideas providing inspiration and mutually cultivating creativity.
