Florence Mae Parlangeli, born and raised in New Rochelle, NY, grew up as a dancer and with a love of the arts. She’s a graduate of The State University of NY with a degree in Advertising Art and Design and with formal training in fine art. She enjoyed her direct marketing careers with New York Life Ins. Co. and NEBS in Groton, MA. Flo is retired from her position as Creative Services Coordinator at Concord Litho.

Flo received a most prestigious award by being chosen as one of five Emerging Master Painters by the Light Chasers: Plein Air Painters of the Suncoast. This association of over 500 “outdoor” painters gather weekly in small groups to paint the beautiful scenery before them while out on various natural sites.  She is equally active with The Peace River Painters Of Charlotte County. Most recently she was honored with a First Place at the North Port Art Assoc. FL “Everglades” exhibit and an Honorable Mention at the Light Chasers Annual Exhibit in Sarasota, FL.

Flo greatly enjoys her memberships in New Hampshire and Maine Plein Air groups producing dramatic original oil and acrylic works. She’s a member of the NH Women’s Caucus for the Arts and Manchester Art Assoc. She’s an exhibiting member of the Bedford Craftworkers Guild showing her art and jewelry; and Valley Artisans, Epsom, NH. She has exhibited at Twiggs Gallery in Boscowen. Four of her paintings were shown at the “Birds of a Feather” exhibit at the Audubon Society, Auburn. Currently her art and jewelry are shown at Valley Artisans, in Epsom, NH and at Artisans by the Bay at Oglethorpe Fine Arts and Crafts in Meredith, NH.
